We ask that when you arrive, you stay in your car and we will explain our current protocol to you. We are now seeing all patients, sick and well.

Our Protocols for COVID-19

As part of our precautionary steps to avoid the spread of illness, please stay in your vehicle, if you are picking up a pet or supplies please call our office and speak with the receptionist. If you are here for an appointment or during walk-in hours please check-in by clicking on the button (s) below to begin the process. Please fill out the forms completely to help us best help you and your pet. Once you have completed the submission please call the office. We will give you further directions at this point.

Please note our doors are locked and clients are asked to remain in their vehicles for the appointment. All communication will be done over the phone following CDC recommendations.

Things you can do to help us during this process:
1. Please make sure we have a good email for communications.
2. Please get out of the car to transfer pet to the staff member.
3. Be ready for us to slip a leash over the pet and then unhook your own leash. If pet is in a carrier we will carry the carrier into the building.
4. Be prepared to pay with a card over the phone or pay with Care Credit by using the button at the bottom of our website.

Urgent Care & Sick Walk Ins

Starting Aug. 1st:
Sick/Urgent Care
Monday – Friday 9am – Noon

Please fill out the “Urgent Care Walk Ins form” before calling to let us know you have arrived. We will also need proof of Rabies and any relevant records.

Due to the overwhelming demand, we are in the process of attempting to streamline the urgent care process. We greatly understand the challenges of long waits in the parking lot and in order to try and alleviate this process we are trialing a Walk In in waitlist plan. Once you are on the waiting list we will do our best to check in and let you know your position on this list. When we are ready for you to head down to the clinic you will be notified via text and you will have 1 hour to arrive. If we are unable to see you today, you will be moved to the waiting list for the next day. We will text you to confirm you want to remain on the Waiting List and then continue to update you. If you do not confirm by 8am the next day we will remove you from the waiting list with no penalties. You will then be welcome to sign up for walk-ins again at any time you need.

We are currently only accepting Online Check In Forms at this time to help prioritize our staff time in helping see patients and answer medical questions. We communicate often by email and text with our clients. If you are unable to make arrangements to communicate electronically we will not be able to properly serve your needs and urge you to seek care elsewhere.

We are still trying to figure out how to make this process work smoothly to the benefit of the community so please bare with us.

  • All critical patients are still to seek emergency care from Pet Emergency Services or Tier 1. Midnight Sun Animal Hospital will be having some changes in their handling of emergencies and we look to their announcements for their plans moving forward.
  • 2021 Chester Valley Veterinary Hospital closures:
    • The third Tuesday of every month 9a-12p for monthly staff meetings and continuing education.
    • Labor Day, Thanksgiving day, and Dec 25 thru Jan 1.
    • Unexpected closures if our Veterinary staff has emergency or illness

Payment is expected when services are rendered. We accept debit cards and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover) checks and cash. All credit/debit cards and checks must be verified with proper identification from the owner of the card or check. When unexpected illness strikes a pet, unexpected expenses strike as well. Chester Valley Veterinary Hospital understands this and is able to make some special arrangements through the CareCredit program. It takes just 5 minutes to complete an application and will allow you to break down your payment into 6 monthly installments if you spend more than $200.
